rosenworld

i just discovered laurie rosenwald this weekend, and so i thought i would share this marvelous illustrator/graphic designer/comedienne on my blog. now that i think about it, i can't believe that i hadn't discovered her sooner. especially given that her work is so idiosyncratic, and that we share an unusual surname. after hunting around her site i discovered that her claim to fame is a work shop that she runs called "mistakes on purpose". it looks like she takes this act all over the world to different corporations, teaching teams of people the power mistakes can have. this is something i have always subscribed too, noting that many of my best designs are a result of accidents made while sketching.

this is a video of laurie's collage work with a reading by david sedaris (also a big fave). note: the video takes 30 seconds to load, but it is worth the wait.
